Initials at beginning of each book in red and blue, all others in alternate red and blue; capital strokes provided in red on a few leaves.
Early manuscript notes in Latin at beginning of most of the letters, summarizing their contents, with interlineary notes in a few letters; other notes in different hands, with manicules and Nota markings; a few drawings in initials in brown ink; several notes in English in margins.
Several ownership inscriptions in margins "Johannes Hutchensonns est verus possessor huius libri ..." (leaf v8r); also "Georgius Dane [?] legit libru[m] istu[m] [...? undeciphered]" (leaves x2v-x3r), and "Robert Spenser [?] Johannes [or Robert Johannes Spenser?]" (colophon); another inscription at foot of title page, defaced, illegible; bookplate of W.T. Smedley; purchased in 1924.
