Folger copy: worm holes in the last gathering, slightly affecting text. Initials provided in red paint with paragraph marks, capital strokes and some underlining throughout the book. A few markings, brackets and corrections in text, with signes-de-renvoi, in brown ink; gatherings [a-b] signed by hand "1-2", gatherings [c-B] signed "a-z". Ownership inscription on leaf [a]2r, reading: "Conventus Bambergensis. Ord: Praed:"; another inscription on leaf [c]1r reads: "A22 p[rope?] bamb[er]ge p[ro] p[rae]dicante"; a manuscript note on verso of last leaf, partially illegible from ink stain and wear and tear of paper: "post obitu[m] fr[at]ris Conradj de Molendino oblate[?] ordi. p[rae]di. [...?] [con]uentui Bambergĩ 1486 [...?]" Contemporary alum tawed pigskin binding over beech boards, blind tooled with quadruple fillet border, rosette, and angular "Kopfstempels", from the Dominican convent of Bamberg (Kyriss I, p. 10-11; Schwenke-Schunke Rosette 270, etc.); 2 clasps on fore-edge; remains of 2 paper labels on spine and early spine inscriptions; no. "53" pencilled in blue on the lower paper label; early title/author inscription on lower edge reading from back to front cover"; liturgical manuscript fragments used as guards; evidence of other manuscript fragments once pasted on boards.
