A few early manuscript finding notes in brown ink (leaves [r]2v, [B]3r, [B4v) and a drawing of a face (leaf [E]8r); numerous charcoal markings in margins; early manuscript numbering at head of 1st leaf of each gathering (not including the lacking gatherings), throughout the vol. (and the fragments of other books bound in this vol); manuscript note at end of this item "Qui manca". Cardboard binding with inscription on spine "S. Hieronymi Epistolae 1470"; repaired; in a tailored box. Handpainted coat of arms on leaf [A]1r: jousting shield argent, with 6-mount hillocks (3,2,1) on bend or; inscription on leaf [G]4r, partially illegible "Fra Fra[nces]co sc̃h[?]oni di Bagna a [...?]; bookplate of W.T. Smedley; purchased in 1924.
