Lacks first and last leaves of first gathering (title page description from GW), and leaf G1; wormholes through several gatherings, slightly affecting text. Numerous notes, manicules, markings and signes-de-renvoi in most pts. of the book, in red or brown ink; also some paragraph marks and capital strokes in red; early manuscript notes in Croatian (?) on rear endpaper. Early sheepskin binding, blind tooled with rosettes, square stamps with St. Andrew's cross in a narrow inner rectangle made of intersecting fillets, and palm design; remains of 2 clasps catching on front cover; evidence and remains of leather finding tabs on leaves a1 and H2; repaired; in a tailored box. Manuscript note on front pastedown, ending "... A. P. de puerback [?] Orate pro me 1525"; bookplate of W.T. Smedley; purchased in 1924.
