Lacks first gathering including title page, preliminaries and woodcut (description provided by GW and Sander). Gathering of 4 leaves inserted at beginning bearing manuscript index with title "Questa e la tauola da trouare le domeniche et le vigilie et le feste delle quali si fa officio nella messa ..." and dated at end "die 4 Aprilis 1503"; other notes on same page are dated 1532 and 1542; manuscript numbering of leaves reading 1-78, starting on leaf a1, includes numerous errors. Inscription on front pastedown "Ad usu[m] Josephi Rubei mediolanensis anno Cristi 175i die uigesima octaua Augusti"; booklabel reading "1317 M. R. Sig. D. Calosso Francesco Maria"; "No. 10280 L3" handwritten on back flyleaf. Paper cover has been reinforced with vellum manuscript fragment; inscriptions on spine read "P.D. Caualca Specchio Della Croce" and "[...?] Christo"; also a shelfmark handwritten on front cover, reading "198 C.G."; repaired; in a tailored box. Purchased in 1964.
