Lacks all leaves between leaf V1 and leaf 2A; conjugate leaves a5-a6 misbound after [2nd]a4; some mold in the first and last gatherings. Manuscript notes with numerous markings, brackets, and underlining, in several hands (one of them underlining words in text as well as corresponding marginal notes with corrections). Several ownership inscriptions on title page, one of them illegible, another one in early handwriting, partially legible, reading "Hui[us] possessor[?...?] ẽ Edwardus Broke[?]"; several autographs of George Bickford on t.p. and throughout the book (also his initials G.B.). In a later English calf binding, blind tooled with floral and sawtooth design borders, and remains of 2 ties; rebacked; in a tailored box. Purchased in 1928.
