Lacks leaf a1 (title from BM 15th cent. description); edges have been trimmed, affecting manuscript notes. Large initials on leaves a2r and a4r (15 and 8 lines) illuminated in gold and colors, with margin extension (the central pt. of the 1st one has been defaced in order to bear ownership inscription); initial at the beginning of each book in red with blue penwork infill or the contrary, alternating irregularly, throughout the vol.; initials in alternate red and blue at the beginning of each chapter; capital strokes provided in red from leaf a2 to leaf m4 and only occasionally in the following gatherings. Early manuscript notes mostly in brown ink (some in pink ink), with manicules, underlining, and brackets. Ownership inscriptions on leaf a2r, defaced, illegible, the first one ending "[...?] Antonij Laurentij [...?]"; inscription on center pt. of the illuminated letter on leaf a2r "Antonij Laure[n]tij" (repeated). In a vellum binding; inscription at head of spine "Biblia Sacra 1484"; paper spine label bearing no. "20"; repaired; in a tailored box. Purchased in 1928.
