Folger-specific note
A few manuscript corrections in table of contents, text, and numbering of sermons. Several inscriptions, defaced, entirely or partially illegible on leaves a1r, a2r, and a3r: "Ad usu[m] F[rat]ris bartholomej [...?] or[din]is seruo[rum]", and "Hic liber [...?] fuit genue [...?] Fti Laurentio Ianuẽsis [?] ordinis S[er]uo[rum] [congregationis ...?] Et ego Fŕ Philippus or[dinis] eiusde[m] emi illu[m] a dicto Fte Laurẽzo qu[in]q[ue] solidos Gen[...?]; date handwritten on verso of last leaf "1553 die .2. Aug. [...?]". Before rebinding, the book was covered with a Latin manuscript on vellum with tacketed cover attachments on spine, remains of 2 ties on fore-edge, and initials "B.R." handwritten on spine (kept in a separate folder with the book); inscription "Sermo[ne]s Sti Augus[ti]ni" on upper edge reading from spine to fore-edge; repaired; rebound; in a tailored box. Bookplate of Giovanni Puccinelli Sannini; purchased in 1925, according to Mrs. Folger's files.
