Titlepage to vol. 1 is engraved; other volume titlepages, which are undated except for the final volume titlepage, in letterpress are in parallel Latin and English: the English beginning with 'To [dedicatee] this [volume number] volume of the Naturalist's miscellany ...'

The indexes to vols. 16-23 each have the colophon: 'Printed by B. MʻMillan, ...'

The final volume, dated 1813, is an index entitled 'General indexes, in Latin and English, of the subjects contained in the twenty-four volumes of The naturalist's miscellany; ... London: printed for, and published by, Elizabeth Nodder & Son; by B. McMillan'.

Vol. 2, first descriptive page (for Mus saliens) has catchword "pilis"; reprint has "valde". Vol. 3 has reprinted titlepages (Latin and English) but not reprinted parts; the reprinted titlepages are identified by (in the English title) "The naturalist's miscellany" as one line while the original English titlepage has "naturalist's miscellany".
