The first signature consists of the engraved title and the preliminary text. With the second signature, regular sheets are laid out with the copper-plates while the printed text (14 leaves) is inserted in place in half sheets and single leaves.

Engraved port. medallions of the Roman Emperors in the upper pt. of full-page copperplate ornamental cartouches; added to the ports. are 62 full-page copperplates containing spaces for coins or medals, most of the spaces filled but some left blank. Cf. Mortimer.
