ESTC staff note
Test imposed as part of the Popery Act of 1703 in Ireland. The main measure of relief to Irish Non-Conformists was the Toleration Act of 1719. References to a sovereign are to a King throughout this document. However, this is Bradshaw Coll. Cat. 4167, and is linked with 4120 and 4168. All three are dated as [1709?]. This is unlikely to postdate the 1719 Act, because of the nature of relief sought, but cannot predate 1714
