Called 'The Glocester journal' from 16 April 1754 to 31 December 1810 (cf. Notes & Queries. 12 ser., 10 (1922), p260-4, p. 283-5.
From July 1753-1790 title engraved, and bracketed by cuts of Britannia and a heraldic badge.
Early issues have woodcut ornamental headpiece with title words at upper edge.
Some early issues have subtitles.

Colophons vary; some include names of advertising and subscription agents in Bristol and Taunton; later issues include address, followed by advertisement for patent medicine.
