"Charity mistaken" attributed by STC to Matthew Wilson [i.e. Edward Knott]. Ascribed to Sir Tobie Matthew in Recusant History, v. 5, p. 128-130.
Original title pages read: A consultation what faith and religion is best to be imbraced. Written in Latin by the R. Father Leonard Lessius ... and translated into English by W.I. Whereunto is also annexed a little treatise whether the church of Rome hath fallen in fayth, or no? The second edition. [S. Omer : Eng. Coll. press], 1621; Charity mistaken, with the want whereof, Catholickes are vniustly charged: for affirming, as they do with grief, that Protestancy vnrepented destroies saluation. [S. Omer : widow of Charles Boscard], 1630; Holy Churches complaint, for her childrens disobedience, [n.d.].
This facsimile does not contain the "Defence of the Roman church. Wherin is treated, whether the sayd church ... hath fallen in fayth, or no?" by Martin Becanus (STC 1701), which is present in some copies of the "Consultation what faith and religion is best to be imbraced."
