"Of the following of Christ" is a translation of Imitatio Christi, sometimes attributed to Thomas à Kempis.
"A declaration of the sentence and deposition of Elizabeth" was intended for distribution in England in the event of a successful invasion by the Spanish Armada. It is variously attributed to Pope Sixtus V and Cardinal William Allen. Cf. BLX, CCLXX, p. 309.
