See p. 157-170 in Essays on Nineteenth Century British theatre, ed. by K. Richards (1971) for Jan McDonald's article on Webster's Haymarket productions. Pasted in at beginning is a 4-leaf manuscript transcription "From Morley's 'Journal of a London Playgoer' - Dec. 6. 1856" reviewing Samuel Phelps's production of Taming. Engraved half-title page present.
