Parliamentarian politician.- Gerard (Sir Gilbert, first baronet, presbyterian politician, of Flambards, Harrow-on-the-Hill, 1587-1670) Autograph Letter signed to his Mother-in-Law Lady Joan Barrington, 1p. with conjugate blank and address panel, folio, Grays Inn, 20th June 1635, apologising for not having visited recently and promising to visit "within these ten daies, I am sorry to heere that your Ladiship is not well", several tears (including 1 fold) slightly affecting a word of text, browned. ⁂ Joan, Lady Barrington (c. 1558-1641), godly matriarch and patron of clergy."
