"The Society of Framework-knitters was incorporated by Charles II, who by Procl. 15 Jan. 17 Chas. II, no. 3452, q.v., forbade the export of any frames or pieces or parcels of them. No frames are to be sold without giving notice to the Company, and all customs officers and others are to prevent export. Offenders to be certified to Privy Council." -- Steele.
At end of text: Given at our court at Whitehall the twenty fourth day of October 1686. in the second year of our reign.
