Originally attributed to Charles I, but, according to Madan (p. 125-33), written by John Gauden, who probably included some authentic writings of the King.
The portrait is signed "Guil: Marshall delinea: et sculpsit" or "Guil: Marshall sculpsit".
First two words of title in Greek characters.
Printer's and publisher's names from Madan.
The last leaf is blank.
The third state of the first edition, being identical with the second state except that the pagination in quire G has been corrected.
Annotation on Thomason copy: "feb: 9th."
