"Translated into English by Edward Walsingham from a French manuscript copy of the second part of Traité de la cour ou Instruction des courtisans, first printed at London, 1652. The authorship of this work has been generally attributed to Sir Francis Walsingham, but the original was a French work by Eustache Du Refuge first published anonymously at Paris, 1617, with the title Traité de la cour ... republished 1618, 1619, etc."--NUC pre-1956 imprints.
