The Cottesloe Military Library ONLINE BIDDING CLOSED 4to (180 x 135mm.), with first line of caption title on p.1 ending "the" and catchword on p.4 "stand", 20 leaves of plates, later calf gilt, top edge gilt, lacking title-page, some neat restoration, a few plates shaved at outer margin, a small tear to one plate, some browning VERY RARE. ESTC records just one copy of this edition, in the British Library, and one copy of the other issue (ESTC R31231). Essentially this is a reworking of Bingham's Exercise of the English (see lot 5) together with extracts from Barriffe's Military discipline (see lot 86)."
