A second quarto, printed with some alterations from the first, was issued with the addition of Shakespeare's name as author. Both title-pages are herein given, but the text which follows is from the impression which lacks the incription: Written by William Shakespeare. The play is now ascribed to Anthony Munday, Michael Drayton, Robert Wilson and Richard Hathway. cf. Malone Society reprints and Tudor facsimile texts.

Date of earliest known editions (two in same year) 1600 (B.M. press-marks C. 35, i.6, and C.34, i.7) Next isusued in the third folio Shakespeare, 1664.
