Dealer's description: "Ralph Richardson. Saturday; no date [c. April 1939]. To the director Guthrie McClintic. "I would very much like to see you before you go altogether. I have left several messages for you at the Ritz . . . Every day now I am at the studio at Denham. If you would care to come to lunch there I would send a car for you. . . .I am delighted [McClintic's wife, the actress Katherine Cornell's] play is such a success & Larry [Olivier] has made a great hit I hear." Olivier and Cornell acted together on Broadway in No Time for Comedy, which opened in April 1939, directed by McClintic. Ten by eight inches on Richardson's 66 Portland Place London W1 letterhead."
