From seller description: Bill of lading from the Elizabethan era, this document was drawn up at Civitavecchia 28 March 1589 for a cargo of alum. The text notes that upon arrival of the cargo at the Isle ofWight a man should be sent swiftly to London, to Filippo Corsini, to take orders on whether the alum should be transported to London, Le Havre, or Middelburg.
