Dealer's description: According to the remedies in this commonplace book, there are few ailments, it seems, which ale cannot cure. For example, "A cure for a Cold in Horses", "For a beast that hoost the Coud", "For winde in beeast the Cure, "For a beast that Cannot doing nor eat", "For a hors that pisseth read", "a Cuer for a bight of a mad dog in a man or beast" etc. all list ale as the active ingredient. Book includes notes of agricultural interest such as prices paid for sheep, and accounts of payments, receipts, lendings and borrowings.
