Folger-specific note
In contemporary dark brown calfskin in an English panel stamp design. The covers are blind tooled and stamped, with a single line fillet outer border and an inner frame tooled with a variable width triple line fillet surrounding the panel stamps. The front cover has the Rose panel (Oldham, plate XLI, no. RO.21). The back cover has a Heraldic panel, (Oldham, Plate XXI, no. HE26).Evidence of two fore-edge clasps, hinging from the back cover and catching on the front. Manuscript inscription on title page: "Bibliotheca Wesal: ff. Praed." (Dominikanerkloster zu Wesel).
