Summary
Manucci writes concierning correspondence with a certain Rinuccini discussing details relating to the loss of three bills of lading for a cargo of leather on a ship belonging to Corsini. He also mentions a proclamation issued at Basing 14 September [1591] concerning the prohibition of ships carrying fish or other foodstuffs from leaving port (presumably Plymouth), nothign that a Mr Starling in involved in clarifying the situation and that in any case the shipment will be readied by Corsini's business partner [James] Bagge. The transportion of thirteen sacks of pepper and a cargo of elephant tusks and ivory are also mentioned.
