A miscellany including excerpts from Foxe's Book of martyrs, Sir Thomas Hawkins' translation of a life of Sejanus (either from Pierre Matthieu's Aelius Sejanus or Giovanni Battista's Della peripetia di fortuna, overo sopra la caduta de Sejano?), notes on English history, and several sermons. Cardinal Mazarin is referred to in the present tense.

One of several volumes, originally 17 in number, known as "Ward's Diary." 16 of these volumes are now Folger MS V.a.284-299.
