Summary
First edition of Martin Luther's commentary on the book of Deuteronomy. Luther does not make use of the Vulgate text here, but is provides his own translation from Hebrew into Latin. The printing of the book was completed in 1524, but the work was not issued until 1525 when a dedicatory preface was added in honor of Georg von Polentz, the first Lutheran bishop.
