Summary
Caricature of the Ireland family hard at work on the forgeries in their living room at Norfolk Street (William Henry, Anna Maria, Samuel, Mrs. Freeman, and Jane), with labeled manuscript bundles strewn across the room, including "Leaves from old Books to Write Plays Upon with Various Water Marks," "Vortigern & [Ro]wena," "Deed of gift to Ireland, Will. Shakespeare." On the wall behind them, portraits of "Anna Hatherrewaye" and Shakespeare ("My own portrait drawn by my own hand from that rare print by M Droeshout"), as well as a "Plan of the Gold mines discovered in the year MDCCXCV."
