From dealer's description: 4to [14 x 18,5 cm] 73, [1], [2, blank]; 38 [i.e. 37], [4] pp. This treatise, unpublished, was written by Canes, probably in London, "to benefit himself' in the year before his death. Arranged in twenty chapters, it offers an outline of his understanding of Catholic piety, with chapter headings. Appended to this work is a separately-paginated work titled "Entertainments for the most B. Sacrament," penned in the same hand and presumably also the work of Canes. Written by Canes for his own private use.
