An academic grammar play, incorporating allegorical representations of the university environment. The main plot concerns the war between Nomen (Noun) and Verbum (Verb) over precedence, with the grammarian William Lily serving as chief mediator. Other characters include Queen Oratio, Participium (Participle), the chorus Parenthesis, the grammarian Priscian, and Robin Robinson. A subplot involves Absurdo (a peddler) who tries to sell Ignorance (a schoolmaster) verb tenses.

Bound with 16 other manuscript works in the 18th century; repaired and separated into 15 booklets, some with multiple works, in 1993 (J.a.1 (1-15)). Modern pencil foliation added before separation: 119-133.
