Bifolium with integral address leaf addressed "To the Earle of of Buckingham."
Addressed to "My king dog" and signed "Anna R." at top of letter.
Undated letter written between the recipient's being created Earl of Buckingham (January 6, 1617) and being elevated to the marquessate (January 1, 1618); likely refers to James I's proposed visit to Woodstock in September 1617.
With two red wax seals covering pink silk floss.
Accompanied by small envelope labeled in two later hands: "Queen Anne's letter" in ink and "Ann of Denmark wife of Jas I about 1617-1618" in pencil below.
