Scope and content
Indicates that he has arrived in Amsterdam and shares his initial impressions of the Dutch, marveling at their cleanliness and tastes ("there is such Curiosity and cleanlinesse in theire houses that I am not able to describe it the poorest peoples houses look as handsome as our English gentlemens houses") and commenting that the food "does not well agree" with him.
