Subject: Pictured is a house or series of houses with red roofs, a fence running behind the house and back into a wooded area, a watermill, and a dirt road. The drawing has been inserted into a printed text to illustrate page 319 of a monograph on Newcastle. The text is describing the boundaries of All Saints' Parish, Newcastle and the area pictured in this watercolor is probably a landmark for those boundaries.
