Provenance: Item is found in the 8th volume of an extra-illustrated copy of Fitzgerald's Life of David Garrick, opposite p. 420. The volumes were extra-illustrated in 1903 by Alexander Meyrick Broadley, expanded from 2 volumes to 17, and bear his bookplate. The set was purchased by the Folgers from Albert Myers & Co. (cat. no. 236, item no. 117) in 1923.

Subject: Seaton Delaval is located in Northumberland, the ancestral home of the ancient Northumbrian family of Delaval, represented by two branches, one at Ford and at Seaton. The name is sometimes found to be spelt Delavall. (DNB).
