History: Probably after a print designed by D. Dodd and engraved by J. Goldar which was used as a plate to Hibernian magazine. Listed in Harvard cat. of dram. ports. as no. 20 under Henderson (Folger copy is ART File H496 no. 6).
Provenance: Item is tipped into an extra-illustrated copy of the Letters and poems of the late Mr. John Henderson ... 1786. The binding is dated 1787. Volume was purchased by the Folgers from Thorp in 1929.
