Artist given as Jacob van Oost in BM cat. of engr. Brit. port, II, p. 414. Also note that the catalog states that there is no authority that this is a portrait of Hall. BM cat., noted above, states that this is a plate to A. Hamilton, Memoirs of Count Grammont.
