40 engravings with the Leiden imprint (1 of 3 sets of matching borders) have the excudit of C. Allard with the sculpsit of L. Sherm used occasionally.
Contents: castles, palaces, manor houses, churches, gardens, and general views.
Foliated and paginated in pencil, 1-54, 55a-b, 56-94, hinged to binding.
Nos. 57-59, engravings of antiquities by Jan de Mel representing the goddess, Nehalennia, along with coins and artifacts, are from the appendix to H.F. van Heussen, Batavia sacra. Thiene-Becker's Künstler Lexikon gives imprint, Leiden, 1725. See also, A. van der Aa, Biog. woordenboek.
Other signed prints are by Cornelius Elandt.
The imprint, A Leide, Chez Pierre van der Aa, appears in 48 architectural borders, sometimes incorporating 2-3 plates, 1 with his imprint is without a border. 3 others have no imprint, but are certainly by him.

Smallegane, Nieuwe cronyck van Zeeland, Middleburg, 1696. See A. van der Aa, Biog. woordenboek, under Vogelaer and Smallegane. A monogram, lower left, reads variously - AL, All, or possibly, St. L.
