Artist: A newspaper clipping included in the volume contains some biographical information on the artist. The newspaper article refers to the artist as 'H. Michael' though the playbill notes her as Michael Hunt.
History: Designs were executed for the Arena Stage production of Twelfth night, June 5- July 1, 1951. A playbill from the production is included in the volume. Three of the designs were reproduced in The Washington post, Thursday, June 28, 1951. The news article is also included in the volume.
Provenance: Item was given to the Library by Mildred Hunt of Falls Church, Va. in July of 1951. (Mildred Hunt may possibly be the same as the artist).
Subject: Costume designs are included for the characters of Olivia, Feste, Viola, Sir Andrew Aguecheek, Malvolio, Sir Toby Belch, Maria, Officer and Duke Orsino. For the actors who played the roles see playbill included in the volume.

Title information from label taped to inside binder cover. Items have been encased in plastic and collected in a four ring binder notebook. Each item is labeled with the character in the lower right corner and signed 'M. Hunt' in the lower left. There are pencil notations regarding measurements and fabrics on the versos of some of the designs. (The artist came to the library on 4/11/84, shortly before her death, to resign the designs 'Mrs. M. Marie Hunt').
