aSketches have notes and numeric notations on them and most are labeled according to the section of the castle, or item in the castle from which they were drawn. In ink, at the bottom of each sketch is written J.Coney del.
History: An entry in NUC, under Coney, reads as follows: series of views representing the exterior and interior of Warwick Castle, accompanied with an accurate plan and a brief account. London, 1815. The only copy noted is owned by the Peabody Institute, Baltimore. The sketches may have been for the illustrations to this work.
Provenance: Items are glued into a volume which is labeled 'Warwickshire - Engravings and original drawings'. For provenance information see record for Wollas Hall, co. Warwick.
