Summary
The husband stands, a stick in one hand, the other hand pointing at his wife who kneels on the floor before him, her hair loose and her hands folded in prayer. Behind the wife are the couple's two children, a small girl and a slightly older boy, both entreating their father with clasped hands. The room is in disarray with a chair overturned, various articles on the floor, and a small dog baring its teeth at the husband.
