Artist: Parry was an actor and entertainer who wrote and performed works at Thomas German Reed's Gallery of Illustration, Regent Street London from 1860 to 1869. Parry illustrated his own production of Albert Smith's 'Notes Vocal and Instrumental' with large water-color paintings and thus is known to have done some work in the pictorial arts. Samuel Houfe in his Dict. of Brit. book illustrators and caricaturists lists a John Parry as an amateur caricaturist, two works of his being located at the Victoria and Albert.
