Summary
A view of the theater erected in St. Peter's for the canonization of five saints under Pope Alexander VIII. The seated audience of cardinals, ambassadors and others are seen from afar, with the Pope in the center. Various members of the audience are identified with letters which correspond to two keys in the lower left and right corners of the image.

Dedication signed Carlo Fontana architetto.
