Formerly attributed to "L.P. Tomfhl," based on pencil note on back of drawing, but last name is hard to decipher and may be Tomfhl or Tomphl or some other variant.
Pencil notes beneath image identify actors: Miss Neilson, Mrs. Tree, [Mr.] Tree, Miss Freear.
Depicts a production of Midsummer night's dream at Her Majesty's Theatre which opened Jan. 10, 1900 (see Who's Who in the Theatre, 1922, p. 1076).
