Summary
The second age, from 16 to 32 years. The portico of a palace is visible on the right, lined with corinthian columns. Sprawling to the left is a garden maze in which couples are strolling, two men are dueling, and three men are playing instruments. Several people are on the portico including a painter at his canvas, a sculptor working on the form of a man, and a woman holding a book and a compass. Two angels are leading other men up the steps of the palace.
