Engraving is in three separate parts: (a) at bottom, (b) and (c) next to one another at top. (a) is labeled "The prospect of Guye's Cliffe from the meadows on the north-east thereof." A house with three tall chimneys and a small chapel separate on l., and the river Avon in foreg. Below image is a tablet with refs A-N, referring to various labeled parts of image. (b) A statue of a knight in chain mail with sword and shield standing under a carved canopy, with an inscription: "The statue of the sometime famous Guy standing here within the chapell of St. Mary Magdalen." Inscribed in lower r. corner: "M.B. s." (c) A scribe seated in a stone seat with a carved coat of arms, writing on a voluminous scroll. Above is a tablet lettered: "The portraicture of Iohn Rous, sometime a chantry-priest here, as it was taken from an antient roll, drawne by himself, wherein the pictures of the Earles of Warwick are also curiously delineated."
