Artist: Coney was a topographical draughtsman and engraver who published a number of works containing views of cathedrals and abbeys in England and on the Continent.
Provenance: Items are glued into a volume which is labeled Warwickshire - Engravings and original drawings. For provenance information see record for Wollas Hall, co. Warwick.
Subject: Drawings are of the following subjects: N.E. view of Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire (no.29) ; N.W. view of Kenilworth Castle from Pearly Meadow (no.310) ; Beauchamp Chapel, St. Mary's Church, Warwick (no.89).
The drawings of Kenilworth are initialed JC and dated 1813. At the bottom, in pencil, possibly by the compiler, is written J Coney del. The Beauchamp Chapel sketch is signed J Coney del and a note is added 'Done for Mol...' All three items are labeled as to subject.
