Summary
Representing the choleric temperament: A man dressed for war and a woman in classical dress are at the center of the image. The man is seated holding a pickaxe and shield with various pieces of armor and weaponry on the ground at his feet. The woman stands, holding a sickle in one hand and a sheaf of wheat in the other, wearing a crown of wheat. Two soldiers are in the left middle ground. In the background are marching armies and buildings in flames.
