Illustrations were designed for an edition of Lamb's Tales, copyrighted 1918. Cardboard mount has "Macbeth" written in the top center. The illustrations depict: Macbeth with a dagger before the sleeping Duncan; Banquo; and Duncan on his throne (penned note beneath drawing reads "Duncan, King of Scotland"). The four initials depict a woman with a torch; a man; a woman watching a man run away; and another woman. Initial letters do not necessarily illustrate scenes from Macbeth.
