Illustrations were designed for an edition of Lamb's Tales, copyrighted 1918. Cardboard mount has "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark" written in the top center. The illustrations depict Hamlet drawing the curtain back to show Polonius; and Claudius poisoning Hamlet's father. The three initials depict a Roman soldier; Bottom from Midsummer night's dream; and a baby (most likely Perdita from Winter's tale) with a treasure chest. As evidenced by Bottom and Perdita, initial letters do not necessarily illustrate scenes from Hamlet.
